Conference Housing Options

There are several options for guest lodging available for conference participants to choose from. We recommend staying right on campus in the Nathan Hale Inn or a Residence Hall. Please see below for details about each lodging option.

Nathan Hale Inn and Conference Center

Rooms have been blocked at the Nathan Hale Inn and Conference Center for the nights of May 24, 25, 26, and 27, 2017. The Inn is on the UConn Storrs campus, within easy walking distance from the short course and conference venues. Please book early to assure availability and get the group rates.

Standard Room: $119 per night plus taxes
Dorm Style Room: $89 per night plus taxes
Free Parking and Internet Access are included with your room reservation.
Check-in Time: 3:00 PM; Check-out Time: 12:00 PM

Please call the hotel directly at (860) 427-7888, and reserve a room as part of the LIDA Conference room block. You must make reservations by Monday, April 24, 2017, to ensure room availability and to receive the group rate. Please see the hotel website for cancellation details.

Residence Hall

You may reserve a single room in a premium residence hall. Premium residence halls are air conditioned with accessible thermostats in each room. All rooms include wireless internet and Ethernet connections (you must supply your own Ethernet cable). The residence halls also offer ample lounge space with comfortable seating for socializing.

Single Room: Single rooms have one extra-long twin sized bed and share a bathroom with another single. Includes a linen packet (pillow, sheets, blanket, and towel). Beds will be made. There is no daily housekeeping service for these rooms. Towels may be swapped out at the Conference Housing desk. Single rooms cost $57.75 per night, per person.

Getting to the University of Connecticut

From the West—Interstate 84 East to Exit 68. From exit, take a right onto Route 195, and follow for 7 miles to campus.

Alternate directions from the West—Interstate 84 East to Interstate 384 East. At end of Interstate 384 East, take left fork to Route 44 East. Follow Route 44 East to intersection with Route 195. Take a right onto Route 195 and follow the signs to campus.

From the East—Interstate 84 West to Exit 68. From exit, take a left onto Route 195, and follow for 7 miles to campus.

From the Southeast—Interstate 95 to 395 North. Take Exit 81 West to Route 32 North. Follow Route 32 North to Willimantic. In Willimantic, turn right on South Street and go over bridge. Continue straight through the light and follow 195 North for 8 miles to campus.
